When compared to other places in India, i find that Rishikesh is peaceful and it is home to plenty of Aashrams and most of them are situated on the
banks of maa Ganga.
During our visit to Badrinath, we decided to trek to one of holiest Gurduwaras, Hemkund Sahib and Valley of Flowers.
Since our gang decided to visit the Valley of Flowers after returning from Hemkund Sahib, it was already three in the after-noon and i was so tired that my mind said Sundar your quota for today's trek is already over and unfortunately we had to leave for Govind Ghat in the early morning.
So i am yet to see the scenic Valley of Flowers.
While returning from Badrinath and Hemkund Sahib, three of us decided to spend three more days at peaceful Rishikesh. ( used to stay at Ganga Nivas which is situated near Ram Jhula... )
